    Newbie with concerns

    I looked throught the qulifying illneses and saw one out of three of mine illneses. and another not qulifying unless there are other illneses to go with it. im in 8 to 10 pain level everyday. im a nurses aid and my pain level is at 8 to 10 plus when im on my feet. this si my first time applying. should i start with a lawer. Illness is Degeneative Disk Desease L5-S1/Facet Arthritis L5=S1 and Scoliosis R turn in lumba 5.

    Whether or not to hire a lawyer is totally up to you. Unfortunately, up to 70% of claimants are denied benefits at the initial application level. If, however, your medical records are so good that you can prove that your condition "meets a listing" you should get benefits immediately at the initial application and if you hired a lawyer you might end up paying them a lot of money for doing very little work.

    If, however, you have to appeal your claim multiple times and end up arguing your claim in front of an administrative law judge, a disability lawyer is generally a good idea.

    i have discitis and degenerative disc diesease and i was denied my first time , got a lwayer to appeal my denial , had my hearing last week and shold get a decission in a few weeks

    questions the judge ask

    hi im josh and ive applied for ssd , and the t its been long and hard , i had my hearing last week and it was like getting slapped in the face , i had all my ducks in a row about a inc and a half of medical reports and was treated like a liar , and some of the questions he asked were irrelevant , like did i like to garden or visit ppl , i have a termnal autoimmune disorder and degenerative disc disease caused by an infection , i just dont understand , cant work or do nothing , my dr declared me disabled and theres did as well , plz any help would be nice at this point
